The Public Relations Student Society of American (PRSSA) is a national organization dedicated to helping early-career PR professionals build meaningful connections and grow their skills. Over the course of three years, I served in multiple leadership roles within the University of Oregon chapter, starting as Finance Director, then Programming Director, and ultimately leading the chapter as President.

During my time as Chapter President, I led a 10-person executive board and oversaw a chapter of more than 200 members, a ten times increase from previous leadership. I organized weekly guest speaker events with professionals across industries, coordinated professional development tours to PR hubs like New York City, Seattle, and Portland, and created hands-on workshops focused on resumes, headshots, networking, and more.

I also managed chapter communications with both PRSA national and campus leadership, ensuring our programming stayed aligned, consistent, and impactful. Across all roles, I focused on making our events purposeful and engaging, using creativity and strategy to foster a space where students could genuinely grow.

This three-year experience gave me practical leadership, event planning, and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of how to build and support a driven, collaborative community.
